Four industrial size burners. Huge multi-trough sinks. Closets full of mini liquor bottles. This is a gastronomic society in Basque Country.
On this particular night, we convoked a pintxo contest among several friends. A flurry of cooking. Everything from watermelon with gummy skewers to grilled chicken kebabs with pomegranate sauce. My pintxo was fried morcilla arancini, and later went on to be a finalist in the local paper's pintxo contest! Take that Basque people!
